of Iday 2d, Dr. Coleman says that cir
cumstances over which he bad no con

as soon as he had hoped., and that be
now expects to reach Salem about May
16th. He will not be able to bring his
family to -Oregon at this time, for the
reason that his -Tittle girl, who was
dangerously ill during the winter, is
unable to make the trip across the con
tinent, not having recovered sufficient
y from her illness. ; Dr. Coleman does
not state just what date he will leave
his home for Salem, nor whether or
not he will make stops on the way, but
