the worst experienced since the strike
on lines of the .$U LtV-'s Transit Com
pany was inaugurated over three, wee's
ago. The rioting; was confined to hc
Southern section of (the city, and by
nightfall the police records showed that
fully a dozen persons had either receiv
ed bullet wounds or had been hurt bv
flying missiles.' Three; of those hit by
bullets, received what 'are presumably
mortal wounds, and that no one was
