Regular meeting, potluck dinner, bring guest and covered dish. Legion Hall 7:30 p.m. The Nyssa Golden Age Club wishes to announce that they will be meeting January 4th in the Veteran's Hall, 116 Ehrgood Avenue with their usual potluck dinner followed by a visit from the health nurse. She will arrive after 1 p.m. With the increased avail able seating, everyone is welcome who wishes to join the club, either for a visit or become a regular member. Meetings are on the first and third Wednesday of each month. We wish to extend our thanks to the local business people who have made recent donations to our club. Utah came Wednes day to spend Christmas week with Mr. and Mrs. Don Roberts and boys. , Dyre Roberts returned home Friday afternoon from St. Luke's Hospital in Boise where he had been a patient since December 12. He underwent heart surgery December 14. Mrs. Roberts stayed in Boise with her cousin. Mrs. Agnes McClure so she could be close by. Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Van DeWater attended a family gathering at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Van DeWater in Adrian Saturday evening. Their daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Reed of Boise and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bauman and their families also attended. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Clary and boys of Caidwell were Christmas Eve supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Stan Thomas ^ad fmaily. . Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Riggs of Parma called on Dyre Roberts Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Witty. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Witty and Carl. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Witty and family were Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Spear in Vale. Mr. and Mrs. Delno Brock of Ontario visited Mr. and Mrs. Dyre Roberts Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Varner Hopkins were Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hill and family in Boise. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Bennett were Christmas Day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dewayne Bennett. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Thomas and family spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Wavlan Wagner and family in Boise. Mr. and Mrs. Don Roberts and Mrs. Louise Bailey were Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Roberts at Wilder. Mrs. Winifred Bennett. Mr and Mrs. Dick Bennett and family were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd W<«>d in Marsing Christmas. Mrs. Ruth Chaney and family attended a family dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Chaney in Meridian Christmas Day. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cart wright had as their guests Christmas, Bruce Cartwright and Mrs. Wilma Hobbs and Jeff of Ontario. Mr and Mrs. Bovce Van DeWater attended a family gathering at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bowen in Nampa Christmas Day. Big Bend was saddened by the news of the sudden death Sundav evening of Henry Hatch of Joseph. Our sym pathy is extended to his brother and sisters, wife and sons. Vernon Parker of Adrian, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Roberts of Pinehurst, Mrs. Don Roberts and Mrs. Louise Bailey called on the Dyre Roberts. Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Callahan and Alex were Christmas eve guests of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Callahan and family of Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. Randy York, Sheri and Shane were also Christmas eve guests. BRIDGE ACTIVITIES Mrs. Ted Morgan en tertained the Thursday After noon Bridge Club at her home last week with a Christmas luncheon. M-s. Evelyn Wienke was a guest. Winners were Mrs. Bob Wilson and Mrs. Lawrence Pace, Thursday, December 29 • Adrian City Council, Regular meeting, Adrian Fire Hall. 8 p.m. Group 4 and J of the Busy Bee's 4-H Club met at the home of Jackie A Sisson, December 20. Group 4 started their meeting off by making a Mexican dish called Tamale Loaf. While we were waiting for the dish to cook, we made Tacos and Champurrado (Me xican Hot Chocolate). Group J discussed and learned how to knit. After all these tasks were finished we had a Christmas Party and exchanged gifts. For' refreshments we had Champurrado and party can dies. Our next meeting will be held on January 17. 1978. We The Krafty Kfitters 4-H Club met on Monday, De cember 12. We made salt dough ornaments and de corated different ones. Next week we are making Christ mas presents for our mothers Julie Sillonis, reporter Punch * Pina The Punch and Pins 4-H Club was called to order by Debbie Voechting on Tues day, December 13. We made Peanut Brittle. Peanut Clusters, Butter scotch Fudge. Chocolate Fu dge. and Mints at our meeting. Our next meeting will be in January.
