State Police Department

DON BAKER, left, was presented with six Certificates of
Service by Mayor Don Oldemeyer at the City Council meeting
Tuesday evening in recognition of the service performed by
LDS youngsters under his direction. They disbributed the
questionnaires to residents of Nyssa for the recent survey
taken by the City of Nyssa.

Anna long Friday afternoon
The Superintendent of the
Oregon State Police, Robert
R. Fisher, announced that
the department is accepting
applications from qualified
persons, male and female,
who are 21 years of age or
older, for the position of State
Police Officer. Applications
will be accepted from now
until June 1st-, this year.
Applicants will be sche­
duled for testing during
June. The testing will consist
of a written and a physical
agility examination.
Those applicants who suc­
cessfully complete all phases
of the testing and processing
will be considered for open­
ings in October of 1977 and
March of 1978.
Mr. Fisher advises that
those persons who are
interested in employment
should contact the Depart­
ment’s training section at
(503-378-8192) 107 Public
Service Building, Salem,
Oregon, 97310, or their local
state police office.

a Sunday dinner guest of Mr.

Parma.

winter scene, as the sub-zero frost flocks the
trees and bushes. Valley residents have
suffered though several days of icy streets

Hospital Friday. She re­
turned home Saturday.
