All were topics of discussion at the September meeting of the Nyssa Ministerial Associa tion. Here are some of the highlights of that meeting. I Meals < in Wheels Many churches have “pit ched in" and taken respon sibility for deliveries. This much needed program is operating well, thanks to local help. It was noted thu‘ there was always a need for wider participation, however, and ar.;* interested churches or groups should contact Rev. Walt Schmidt, pastor of the Faith Lutheran Church at 372-3331 2. New officers for the coming year were elected as follows: Rev. Letitia Croom, president. Rev. Walt Schmidt vice-president; Rev. Bob Si mard. secretary-treasurer. 3. There is a strong possibility that a Billy Gra ham Crusade will be held in our area next August. Leigh ton Ford. Rev. Graham's chief assistant, would con duct the Crusade at the Fair grounds in Ontario. Minis terial Associations in the area are hard at work striving to make this a reality. 4. Hospital visitations and nursing home worship services seem to be a common ground where all 2-..»iminations are working together. Jim Mattes ex pressed appreciation for everyone* efforts. • • • The Ministerial Associa tion is open to all pastors in our area. Its purpose is to foster cooperation in the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
