Sunday afternoon and eve­

fireworks later.

brother and his wife, of
Kearney, Nebraska . They
will return with Mr. and Mrs.

Rackleff. a native of Myrtle
Point and former Lakeview

installment loan officer at the
Klamath Falls branch in 1964
and transferred to the Lake­
view branch in a similar
capacity in 1966. In 1970. he
was named head of the
Gresham branch installment
loan department and in 1973,
was named commercial loan
officer.
He
has
been

quartered at the Ontario
office as assistant manager
since 1974.

Leth. manager of First
National Bank of Oregon's
Redmond branch, has been
promoted to assistant ma­
nager of the large Ontario
office, announced Vice Presi­

to manager of the Lakeview
branch.
Leth, a Native of Idaho,
was graduated from Buhl
High School and later atten­
ded the University of Idaho
where he received a bachelor
of science degree in agri­
culture.
Leth. joined First National
in 1968 and was named
development officer assigned
to the agribusiness services
department the following
year. In March 1972, he was
named regional sales officer
with the Portland regional
administration and later that
year, was named commercial
¡oan officer at the Gresham
branch. In April 1973 was
named to open the new
Redmond office as manager.
A member of the American
Institute of Banking, he also
is active in the Ontario Lions
Club. Chamber of Commerce
and Aiken Parent-Teachers
Organization.
He was graduated from
Sacred Heart Academy in
Klamath Falls and later
attended Oregon Technical
Institute.
Leth and his wife Gwen,
and son Aaron, will purchase
a home in Ontario.

The McKenzie Highway
(ORE242) Pass, one of
Oregon’s most scenic routes,
was opened to traffic Friday.
July 2. it was announced by
the State Highway Division
The pass was closed last
October 23 because of heavy
snow. The route is primarily
a scenic one with little
through traffic so there is no
effort to keep it open during
the winter months.

accident in Virginia. He is in
intensive care at the Ports­
mouth Naval Medical Center
where he is steadily improv­
ing.

these days. They have their
first great-great-grandchild.
A son was born July 1 to Mrs.

the Nampa Medical Center.
