Chap­ lain Orma Cleaver was assisted by Clara Price. Stations were decorated with white lilacs, snowballs, and red peonies All members joined in the closing prayer and song. Master Harold Kurtz re­ minded members of the State Orange meeting June 14 at The Dalles and urged mem­ bers to attend if possible. Preferential election for State Grange officers is completed subject to confirmation by delegates to State Grange. Refreshments were served by Mr. and Mrs. Eric Boenig to 16 members. The next regular meeting will be held Thursday evening. June 1, 8:30 p.m. Members are urged to attend. Bullards Observe Anniversary The "Open House" cele­ bration held for Otis and Pearl Bullard on their 55th Wedding Anniversary, was a great success. It was given by their children. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Jensen of Boise, Mr. and Mrs. George Bovack of Mendian and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bullard of the Arca­ dia district. A beautiful bouquet of dark red roses and yellow chrysanthemums was a gift from all of Pearl's brothers and sisters. Cake and punch were served Marla Dail of Boise served the cake. Out-of-town guests were: a niece. Garden Club Finishes Project Ladies of the Town and Country Garden Club re- ceived a helping hand from the J & J Tree Topping A Landscaping service. They delivered and placed the final touches to the garden plot at the North entrance of town. Mr. Chadwick of the Oregon Concrete Company delivered the final gravel on the triangle. The three large stars were painted white as were the four-foot numerals 1776. In a few days the garden plot will be a-bloom with red, white, and blue petunias and salvia. Later on other flowers will bloom in their season. Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Laurence donated the much- needed mulch for the garden. This will conserve water. The ladies wish to thank all those who willingly donated their time, services, and materials. A bad traffic hazard has been eliminated, and all that is needed now is an adequate sprinkling sys- EAGLES AUXILIARY The ladies of the Eagles Auxiliary 42134 held their regular meeting at the Eagles Hall on Tuesday. May 18. A joint installation of Aerie and Auxiliary officers was held on Saturday, May 22 at the Eagles Hall.
