Weekly Reader The children
and Mr*. Moncur »igned the
card and sent it to the
president of the United
States. In return, the class
received a thank you letter
from President Ford that

On Saturday. March 13, we
were invited to help in a
country wide 4-H »ewing
project at TVCC for Mary
Kav School vtudent*. Some of
our group made Bunny
Puppet* and some made
vest* which help the children
learn how to button and zip.
It wa* fun getting acquainted
with other 4-H'ers and
working on *uch a worthwhile
project.

The Adrian Livestock Club
met March II. A rabbit
demonstration was given by
the Ontario Rabbit Club. New

"Carousel"
Tickets are now available
for Carousel, the eighth
annual musical presented
jointly by Trea*ure Valley
Community College and the
community under the aus­
pice* ot the TVCC Drama
Department.
Carousel Is a tender love
story set in a New England
fishing village around 1873.
It will be presented Wednes­
day through Saturday, April
7. 8. 9. and 10. 1976. at 8
p.m. in the Ontario High
School Auditorium
Admission charge* will be
$2.50 for adults (18 years and
older). Senior Citizens (60
years and older) SI.50.

Books, magazines, re­
cords. music, educational
materials, are needed for the
Annual American Associa­
tion of University Women
Book Fair. The Fair will be
held at the West Park Plaza
during Bazaar Days, Satur­
day. April 10, from 9 a.m. to
5 p.m. in front of Hatch's
Bookstore. Book* will be sold
and proceeds will go to the
scholarship fund.
AAUW is looking for books
in such categories as: chil­
dren's (under 10). mysteries,
romance, science fiction,
history, poetry, political scie­
nce. sports, religion, humor
(comic books), arts and
crafts, and textbooks. AAUW
Students (14 to 18 years of
age) $1.50. and children
(ages 6 through 13) $1.00. No
charge will be made for
children under 6 years of age.

patrons are urged to pick up
their tickets as soon as

leadership skills competition
at Eastern Oregon State
College. La Grande.

was for all FFA chapters in
northeastern Oregon from
Condon eastward to the
Idaho-Oregon border.

place in the creed speaking
contest Parker was fourth tn
the public speaking compe­
tition with Cindy Allen of the
Ontario chapter placing sixth
Leggett said that Parker
and Ross will receive state
farmer degrees at the con­
vention.
