Now that it's all melting
away and one can gel out and
drive and fearlessly face the

doing is sleeping Such the
fickleness of female notions.
Wanted so much to just gel
out and go... last week!
With the sudden realiza
tion that it's almost January.
I (looked around my usually
pleasant quarters with un
biased criticism. Oh! The
Garden Club will be meeting
here on the eighth! I've
carpets that need cleaning, a
wall that's got to be painted,
windows to wash, and pro
bably re-wash, windows need
ing new curtain* or drape*, a
broken tile on the kitchen
floor to replace and every
thing to have a proper spit
and polish job by next week

You know how huvband*
take gift giving time for
providing us with those little
kitchen goodies? Well, this
year George gave me an
un-electric can opener, and I
gave him a slow cooker
It's really neat, though it
doesn't save much time You
have to do the preparations
for your meal six or seven
hours before-time, is all. At
least you know that what you
prepared that morning won't
be all dried up when vou get
home from wherever
The moisture stays in the pot,
enriching and tenderizing
whatever you're cooking.
