New Plymouth High Oregon Traffic Toll Down For 1975 Chances arc excellent that Oregon's traffic death toll for 1975 will be the lowest in about 11 years. The Oregon Motor Ve hicles Division reported to day that deaths through October totaled 469—7| fe wer than for the first ten months last year. If the approximately 13 percent reduction holds up for the remaining two months of the year, officials said the 1975 death toll could be as low as 562. It’s because the wires from the pole to your home and the transformer on the pole may not have been planned for electric heat. Hundreds of electric heat installations are being made every month, many without the Company’s knowledge. Consequently we are experiencing transformer failures due to overloading. Resulting outages may occur in the coldest weather, at most inconvenient times. They also can disrupt service for your neighbors. Emergency replace ment or repair can cost hundreds of dollars. So please call us if you have added electric heat in recent months or plan to do so soon. It could save a lot of trouble for you, your neighbors and for our crews.
