Church was the setting for
the August 9. 1975. afternoon
wedding of Trish Wahlert
and Ted Freitag.
Parents of the bnde and
groom are Mr. an Mrs. W. K.
Wahlert of Nyssa and Mr
and Mrs. Joe Freitag of New
PlyoKMth.
The wedding began with a
procession of the entire
bndal party to the altar. The
bride aad groom exchanged
vows in a double-nng cere-
mony at a nuptial mass
celebrated by Father Robert
Simard. The first and second
readings were read by Trish
and Ted. and the prayer of
the faithful was read by Ray
Wahlert. brother of the
bride. Mike Wahlert was
server. Baskets of white
gladiolus and red carnations
decorated the sanctuary .
The bridal gown, fas h in wed
by the bride, was a floor-len
gth, high-waisted dress of
white polyester with lace
overlay on the bodice, collar,
and long sleeves and a lace
train. An elbow-length illu
sion veil was held in place by
a headpiece of lace and satin
ribbon. She carried a bouquet
of red roses and babies
breath with ivy streamers.
The necklace worn by the
bnde was a cross of garnets
that belonged to the bride's
grandmother.
Matron of honor was Mrs
J. P. (Tone) Sands, sister of
the bride. Her dress was
Tops #494, Bea's Beauty Bar.

determine when to hold the
drawing for the Bicentennial
Quilt.
The date set was Wed
nesday. August 27 at 2 p.m.
at the Senior Citizens Center.

The quilt will be on display
at the Idaho Power Office,
August 22 thru 25. The club
is giving three numbers on
the quilt with each dollar do
nation. Anyone interested in
obtaining a number may do
so at the Center from I to 5
p.m. on August 22, 23 and 25
or call 372-36J5 for further
information.
The Amity Club held their
annual summer picnic on
August 13 at the Carl
Burningham home. The hus
bands were special guests
and 16 couples were in
attendance.
The gardens were very
beautiful and the guests were
seated at card tables with red
earnations in bud vases as
centerpieces. Party favors
were little American flags
and bows of ribbon in
Americana colors carried out
the theme.
The picnic lunch was
served buffet style with Ida
Moncur and Iona Flinders in
charge Barbara Burningham,
as hostess, also arranged an
interesting program consis
ting of coronet solos by Don
Moss and Fred Child singing
and playing his guitar.

School. Her fiancee, a 1971
graduate of Blue Mountain
Community College, is em
ployed by the Pendleton
Distributing Company.
The couple plan a Septem

Latter-day Saints in Pilot
Rock

completed their bicycle ride
from Klamath Fails to Fruit
land by way of Redmond.
Prineville and John Day.
Cindy rode in a two-wheel
cart pulled behind one of the
bicycles. Mr. and Mrs. Sager
had met them in John Day
and they all went to Big
Creek, behind Strawberry
Mountain to camp and fish.
The bicyclers traveled over
400 miles at a rate of about 50
miles a day. At the trip's end.
Mr. and Mrs. Williams, with
John, returned home to
Mountain View, California,
while Kathleen and Cindy
remained in the area for a
visit with grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. R H William« in
Fruitland. They arrived in
Nyssa Saturday for a week's
visit with their other grand
parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Raymond Sager.
In a candlelit evening
ceremony. August 2. Randle
Lynn Foss became the bnde
of Neil Arthur Lundy. The
service was held at Piedmont
Community Church. Pied
mont, California with Jeff
Miles officiating.

The bride wore a gown of
ivory silk over bndal satin,
with a bodice of Irish lace and
a high Victorian neckline.
Irish lace also tnmmed the
edge of her cathedral-length
train.
Her full-length veil
was sprinkled with lace
flowers and her shoes were
covered to match. She carried
Jaffett orchids, butterfly ro
ses and stephanotis. overlaid
with babies breath, and
tnmmed with long streamers
of knots and flowers.
Bndesmaids were Sue Rice
of Saratoga. Calif., Lora
Eberle King of Corvallis.
Oregon; Jan Featheriy of
Ann Arbor. Michigan, and
Jane Abrami of Orinda.
California. They wore gowns
of chiffon wnh a floral print
colors of lavender, aqua and
white. Their headpieces1 were
bows of matching fabric with
flowers. They carried bou
quets of lavender, bachelor
buttons and tiny carnations.
