Five -Day Antelope Hunt First and Second
Staff biologists for the
Oregon Wildlife Commission
will recommend a five-day
general 1975 antelope season
similar to last year but will
ask for reductions in tag
numbers in a few units.
The opening date was set
previously for August 16 and
the staff will recommend
closure on August 20. A
slight reduction in tag num
bers will be recommended for
the Fort Rock-Silver Lake.
Maury. Paulina-Wagontire,
and Warner units because of
reduced fawn survival in
these areas. In other units
the recommended tag quotas
will remain the same as last
year. One other suggested
change would add a portion
of the Baker Unit to the
Beulah Unit.
