Range Owners Complete Spray Private Range owners in Malheur County are com­ pleting spraving some 16.000 acres of sagebrush infected ranges this month, according to George Bain, County Extension Agent. With this years program some 220.000 acres of private rangeland has been treated for sagebrush control since 1968 By controlling sage­ brush. the available moisture and plant nutrients are released for production of grasses and other good forage plants at least doubl­ ing the forage production where good understory of desireable grasses exists.
