at the keyboard of the new Compugraphic Typesetter,
recently installed.
The new machine is computerized, and sets type by photo
composition. Faster, and with greater variety of type style
and sizes, readers should notice a difference in the paper
make-up and composition.
All news copy *et on the machine is run through a photo
processor in the darkroom. The old machine*, which can be
seen in the background, will be held in standby They worked
on the tape punch *y*tem. where the tape was punched on the
recorder, then run through a companion machine, the
reproducer, to give the justified columns of type.
Fiddlers Festival Plans
Old Time Parade
One of the big parades in
lower Treasure Valley will
take place Saturday after­
noon. June 22. the last day of
the National Old-Time Fid­
dler's Contest and Festival,
which is held annually in
Weiser.
Entries are now being
received by Darwin Adams.
Parade Chairman, from rid­
ing groups, organizations
and businesses wishing to
enter floats, owners of old
time autos and old farm
machinery, bands and 4-H
Clubs Children's groups
(with or without costumes)
are also welcome to take
part.
