HOTLINE TOTOYSAFE -
TY.
While
the Federal
Government
has banned
some 1500 toys during the
past two years, their removal
from toy shops did not re
duce the number of toy-re
lated injuries; several thou
sand new toys become avail
able every year. So the
Consumer Pr'/duct Safety
Commission has instituted a
nationwide toy safety com-
paign which includes a tele
phone hot line that any con
sumer can use free to learn
which toys are banned, to
get more information about
toy safety, or to report an
unsafe toy or a toy-related
injury.
The toll free number for
Oregonians is 800-638-2666.
An operator will take the
caller’s name and address,
and send the C PSC banned
product list. Questions and
complaints will be answered
by a staff member who will
return the call.
The most important part of a car is the
rakes. Stop by and let us give these life-
savers a complete check, and install shoes
and linings if necessary.
