Engagement Announced
Mr. and Mrs. Leon Chamberlain are proud to announce the
approaching wedding of their daughter, Ternlyn of Nyssa to
Paul M. Butler of Ontario. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross
E. Butler of Ontario. Terrilyn was graduated from Adrian High
School in the class of 1971. She graduated from TVCC in 1973,
with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Paul was graduated from On
tario High School in 1969, and has filleda mission in California.
He gradated from TVCC this spring with an Associate of
Science Degree in Law Enforcement.
The young couple are planning a July 14 wedding with recep
tion following, from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Owyhee L.D.S. Ward.

held June 9, 1973 at St. Mat

became the bride of
Donald Henry Anderson of la
Grande. The Rev. William Wood
man
of St. Peters Episcopal
Church, La Grande, officiated
at the 1 p.m. cermony in the
presence of 250 guests. De
corating the church were beauty
baskets of giant daisies, mums
and babies breath. The altar was
graced on either side with spi
ral candelabras of 15 candles
each.
Parents of the newlyweds are
Dr. John Olsen of Nyssa and the
late Vera Olsen and M r. and Mi s.
Henry Anderson of Nyssa.
Given in marriage by her fa
ther, the bride wore a floor
length gown of Chantilly lace
with a fitted bodice. The gown's
high neckline was complimen
ted by a lace collar and the full
Chantilly lace sleeves were ga
thered into deep cuffs and ac
cented with satin buttons. The
train was attached with a self
bow.
Her full-length veil of
illusion was edged with a six-
inch border of Chantilly lace.
She earned an all-white bri
dal bouquet of daisies, stepha-
notis, rosebuds and babies
breath.
Matron-of-honor was Mrs.
Tom Flaschner, sister of the
bride, and bridesmaid was Ju
lie
Anderson, sister of the
groom. Their gowns were blue
with white polk-a-dots. Each
gown was styled with a fitted
bodice, full ruffled skirt and
puff sleeves. They each wore
a wide-brimmed white hat with
a blue ribbon attached at the
crown, accented with a cluster
of daisies. Each carried a
basket of white daisies, rose
buds, babies breath and tiny
mums.
Lome Flaschner, niece of the
bride, was flower girl. She wore
a blue polk-a-dot frock and
carried a basket of rose petals.
Kelly Ward was ringbearer and
carred a heart shaped pillow
of white satin on which the rings
were tied with tiny bows. Light

a blue over-dress, belted at the
waist and blue accessories.
The bride was graduated from
the Nyssa HlghSchool in 1967,
Oregon State University in 1971,
attained her teaching certi
fication from the College of
Idaho in 1972 and taught school
at Vale Union High the 1972-73
school year.
