CHRISTIAN RODRÍGUEZ, Nyssa’s first AFS-FFA student
from Bogotta, Columbia.
He is shown with his two FFA
project market hogs Cheneta and Charlie.
Although Christian had never lived on a farm prior to coming
to Nyssa he wanted to learn something about our American
Agriculture and free enterprise system. Christian, with the
advice of his FFA advisor Deryl Leggett, picked out two meaner
pigs from Alva Goodell’s herd, fixed a place for them in
Dorothy W ilson’s barn and fed them out to market weight. The
pigs were recently purchased at the current market price by
Duane Buchtel, Mr. Hoff, Dorothy Wilson and Deryl Leggett.
