Twenty-five con­ testants from Oregon State Uni­ versity, University of Washing­ ton, Montana State University, Boise State College, and TVCC competed for six individual and one team award. Boise amassed the greatest team point total at 72, with TVCC second with 58. Since TVCC has already qualified for the national competition, the Chukars withdrew from the of­ ficial team competition in or­ der that another team could qualify. University of Washing­ ton, therefore, took the second place spot behind Boise.
