PTA will hold
their first meeting Thursday,
September 21 at 8 p.m. in the
school cafeteria.
Plans have been made this
year for a different way to
introduce the new teachers, and
for everyone to get acquainted
with the returning staff.
The teachers would like to
be able to meet with the parents
of each child in their rooms, so
please attend to make this pos­
sible.
This promises to be an in­
teresting and enjoyable meet­
ing. See you there!!

A reception honoring the 35th Wedding Anniversary of Mary
Ann and Ed Maulding will be held at the Nyssa United Metho­
dist Church Social Hall on Sunday. September 24th from 2 to
5 p.m. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.

Sorensen were united in mar­
riage August 19, 1972 in Lewis­
ton, Idaho in the St. Jame’s
Catholic Church.
The Rev. Donald Riffle of­

took place in a setting of white
daisies and sprigs of lilv-of-
the-valley.
Sue is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Gilbert Schraufnagel
of Lewiston and sister of Dale
Schraufnagel of Nyssa. Richard
is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Lindley Sorensen of Caldwell.
The bride was attended by
her sister, Mrs. Warren (Linda)
Boxleitner, Belton, Mo., as mat­
ron of honor. Bridesmaid was

gree in May of 1972 in physics
from the University of Idaho,
and is now doing graduate work
in physics under a fellowship
awarded him by the Health,
Education and Welfare Com­
mittee.
Sue has completed two and
one-half years at the Univer­
sity of Idaho and is a continu­
ing student.
The couple are now at heme at
1318 Linda Lane, Moscow,
Idaho.

Weeks has been announced by
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Har­
lan G. Meyer of Nyssa. Her
fiance is the son of Mrs. Albert
Helt of Nyssa and the late
William S. Weeks.
The bride-elect is a graduate
of Nyssa High School and Oregon
College of Education. The fu­
ture bridegroom is also a gra­
duate of Nyssa High School and
a graduate of Eastern Oregon
College. He is presently em­
ployed by the Southeast Oregon
Council ofGovernmentsinVale.

While here they were enter­
tained at a brunch hour Satur­
day morning at the home of Mrs.
Dewey Schmeizel of New Ply­

in Roswell.
