The 985 lb. beef brought $689.50. The reserve champion beef, consigned by Gary DeLong, Vale, went to the Mountain View Equipment Company, Nyssa for $69 cwt or $623 40. The sale saw 78 steers, 91 lambs and 26 hogs sold for a total of $41,218.67. The 1971 sale brought $36,027.67. The 78 steers brought $33, 526 for an average of $44.01 per cwt.
