SUNSET VALLEY - Mr. and
Mrs. Elvin Orm and daughter,
Darlene were visitors Thurs­
day evening at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Jess Asumendi.
Mr. and Mrs. James Phelps
and Josephine and Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Clements and family
of Boise spent Sunday at the
Phelp’s cabin near Lake Fork,
Idaho.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Lorensen
and Harriet and Mrs. Harriet
Turner took Gloria Lorensen to
Payette Sunday afternoon where

she boarded the bus for Quaker
Hill Church Camp at McCall,
Idaho.
Ora Newgen was a dinner
guests Saturday at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Moore and
afterwards attended the Nyssa
High School Rodeo.
Mr. and Mrs. Harley Wilson
and Kenneth were overnight
guests Thursday at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Holly in
John Day. On Friday they
were joined by the Darrel Wil­
sons of Corvallis at Bend. The
families spent Friday to Sun­
day visiting and sight-seeing.
The Harley Wilsons returned
home Sunday evening accompa­
nied by their grandchildren,
Tracy and Karl Wilson who will
visit in this area until school
starts.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Trump
of Wallowa spent last weekend
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Jess Asumendi.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Glenn
and family attended the family
class reunion picnic which was
held in the school park at Adrian
on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ale­
xander of Quincey, Wash., were
visitors at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Ale»ander Tues-
morning.
Mrs. Jim Thomas
was co-hostess. A shower in
honor of Vicki Schenk who is
soon to be married was part
of the meeting.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Culber­
tson and family. Mr. and Mrs.
Charley Culbertson, Mr. and
Mrs. Earl Kygar, Mr. and Mrs.
Steve Erwin,Charley and Juleen
Jenkins of Westfall, Mr. and
Mrs. Melvin Crocker, Mr. and
Mrs. Rusty Talbot, Ladeana
Coleman and Shawn, and Pat
Kropp were dinner guests at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bus­
ter Talbot Sunday in honor of
the birthday anniversary of
Mrs. Charley Culbertson.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Glenn
attended a 1954 class reunion
day and Wednesday. A family
dinner was heldWednesdeyeve-
ning at the Alexander home.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Felty, Jr.

and Mrs. Jean Hurley of
Ontario.
Mrs. Ora Newgen and Mrs.
Rose Douglas of Parma called
on Mrs. Frone Stradley Satur­
day.
Mrs. Ira Price attended a
Pollyanna Club meeting which
was held at the Markely home
in the Ridgeview area Thursday
banquet which was held inCald­
well Saturday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Dick Young,
John Knottingham, Charles
Moore and Mrs. Lois Counsil,
Janet Young and her friend of
Portland, Mrs. Kemp Arnold of
Cascade Locks enjoyed a picnic
Sunday at the Nyssa Park and
afterwards viewed the Rock
Show which was a part of the
Thunderegg Days celebration.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hobson,
Sr. and their daughter, Sandra,
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Townley
of Oklahoma City, Mr. and Mrs.
Keith Langley and sons, Mrs.
E.J. Hobson and Jimmie Lan­
gley were dinner guests at the
East Side Sunday. Mr. and Mrs.
Townley who have been visit-
ing here left for their home
soon afterward.
Mrs. Bill Schenk and Vicki
and Mrs. Catherine Wilhite of
Ridgeview area, were Friday

Mrs. Claudia Derrick and
daughter Lisa were supper

Mrs. Jack Woods.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lawson of
Sparks, Nevada were visitors
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Wood and Saturday even­
ing the Woods, Adah Louise
Strong and Kris Schweizer saw
the Rock Exhibits at Nyssa.

Mrs. Bob Schweizer of Burns
were visitors for dinner at the

man to Nampa Tuesday to the
Carl Fogleman home, and Mfs.
Ida Fogleman left for her home

Herschel Thompson
gave her mother, Mrs. Marie
Earp a birthday party at the
nursing home in Nyssa. She
was 93 years old. Mrs. Thomp­
son, Mrs. Al Thompson and
Mrs. Don Fox went early. The
group had finished their dinner,
and Mrs. Herschel Thompson
and Mrs. Fox served them a
birthday dessert.
Oscar Schafer called on Al
Thompson Monday evening.

at the Johnnie Richards home
in Parma. Friday they were
