CONSTITUTION
Notice is hereby given that
an election will be held in School
District No. 26 of Malheur
County, State of Oregon, from
8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on June
9, 1972, at Primary Building in
said school district, for the pur­
pose of submitting to the quali­
fied voters of said district the
question of levying a tax for the
fiscal year 1972-1973 outside
the limitation of Section 11,
Article XI, Oregon Constitut­
ion.
THE REASONS FOR SUCH
LEVY ARE:
Funding school district ope­
ration because the existing tax
levy limitation will not produce
sufficient funds to operate at
state standards for the full
school year.
Some of the added expenses
are:
Retirement will raise inJan-
uary 1973 from 5.41% to7.5%.
Social Security will raise
January 1973 from 5.2% on
