received from Mr. and Mrs.
Arthur Skogan, former Pastor
of the Owyhee Community
Church, tells of the entrance
of two of his sons into Church
ministry and service. Bill and
his family live in the Portland
area and are doing part-time
ministry now. Dick and his
wife will attend Montana Bible
Institute this year.
The
Owyhee Community
Church is proud of many of
its young people who have taken
up Christian work. Earl Wil- 1
son has been in missionary work
for several years. There are
many whom we could mention.
The most recent is Jim Far­
mer, who is now taking the
Pastorate of a Donnelly, Idaho
Church. He and his equally
devoted wife Brenda and little
daughter, moved to Donnelly
recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Loren­
sen were visitors last Satur­
day at the Ken Abbe Home in I
Ontario.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Loren-
sen and Harriet and Gloria
were Monday afternoon callers
at the Ned Denman home. Mrs.
Denman instructs the girls in
music. Denman who suffered
broken bones in a fall some time
ago is recovering satisfac-
torily. Mary Anne, who has been
ill is also improving. She is
again attending school.

press their "thanks” to their
neighbors and friends, for the
many kindnesses shown them.
After having lived in the city,
they enjoy the outdoor area.
Recently, on a trip sightseeing,
their car was damaged by a
driver who was in a hurry and
luckily no one was injured.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Knotting­
ham of Gold Beach, Oregon ar­
rived Tuesday to visit Mrs. Lois
Counsil and other relatives.
Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Ha­
rold Kurtz, took them aboard
their boat, up the Owyhee to
Watson area, where the Knot-
tingham’s lived in their early
years.
Harriet and Gloria Lorensen
were guests recently ofTammy
and Shawn at a Jobies’ Slum­
ber Party in Nyssa. “Guests
and Jobies” report a beautiful
sleepless party.
The Adrian Pride Day was su­
pervised by Mr. and Mrs. Witty.
Around 14 volunteeers of the
Junior Hi assisted. The day was
cold but they were very suc-
cessful and woundup with a sack
lunch dinner before returning
to their homes.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Reffett
left for their home at Soldatna,
Alaska. Mrs. John Reffett ac­
companied them as far as Moses
Lake, Washington where they
visited Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Reffett. Mrs. John Reffet re­
turned home April 24.
Mrs. John Refett was an over­
night visitor at the Ernie Prince­
house home in Ontario on Tues­
day.
Marion Carey of Grangeville
spent Monday at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Ira Price. Mr.
and Mrs. Jim McGinnis of Jo­
seph spent Tuesday at the Ira
Price home. Mrs. Shirley Al­
britton of Monmouth, Oregon
spent the weekend with the Ira
Prices. Mrs. Ira Price who
has been a patient at the Mal­
heur Memorial Hospital for a
few days, was released to go
home. At present, reports in­
dicate she is recovering satis­
factorily.
Mrs. Ray Strickland was a
visitor Thursday at the home of
Mrs. LoisCounsil. Mrs. Strick­
land and Mrs. Counsil visited
Mrs. Ira Price in the afternoon.
Mrs. Lois Counsil and Mrs.
Frank Knottingham were dinner
guests at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Glenn Knottingham Satur-
