Mrs. Edythe Prosser was a

evening. She was an overnight
gupst and they attended the
movie “Gone With the Wind.”

ing of the South American films

day evening.
Mrs. Florence Gale of Boise
spent last weekend with her son,
Marion. Mrs. C. K.Smith took
her home Wednesday.
Mark Mausling and Marshall
Witty attended the sheep shear­
ing class Tuesday and Wednes­
day in Ontario at the Fair­
grounds. Mr. Witty furnished
the sheep for the shearing.
The Big Bend Extension Unit
met with Mrs. Ernest Seuell
Tuesday afternoon for their last
meeting of the year. Thirteen
ladies and seven children at­
tended. Mrs. Boyce Van De­
water and Mrs. LesterC.Cam­
pbell gave the lesson on “Foods
Safe to Eat.”
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Ben­
nett called on Dick Bennett in
the Mercy Hospital in Nampa
Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Ben­
nett also called on Mrs. Marie
Douglas and Mrs. Florence
Henderlider.
Mr. and Mrs. Horace Chaney
and Rosalie were in Boise on
business Tuesday and called on
Mrs. Pete Graham and family.
Steve Davis accompanied the
C of I baseball team to the
coast over the weekend. They
played baseball with college
teams
at Tacoma, Forrest
Grove and McMinnville. The
golf and tennis team also went.
Rosie Shirk entertained se­
veral of her classmates with a
slumber party Friday night.

Watkins, Donna Walker and San­
dra Landis.
Julie and Angie Sillonis spent
the weekend in Nyssa with Mr.
and Mrs. Muri Burns.

his recent surgery.

Concert Choir To
Present Faure's
Requiem
The Nyssa High School Con­
cert Choir, under the direc­
tion of Gary Condon, will pre­
sent “GABRIEL FAURE’S RE­
QUIEM” at St. Bridget’s Ca­
tholic Church in Nyssa, May 4,
at 8 p.m. This Requiem Mass,
is a world renowned chorale
work.
Featured soloists will be
Nancy Looney, soprano and
Jerry Wilson, baritone. They
will be accompanied by Vicki
Coates on the piano, and Ann
Council on the organ. Ann, is
a student teacher from the Col­
lege of Idaho.
A woodwind quintet will also
be featured. The group consists
of Jan Saito, Pam McPartland,
Monica Smit, Sharmon Sada-
mori and Shan Moss.

Join Honorary
Three Treasure ValleyCom-
munity College students were
recently initiated into Phi Theta
Kappa, a scholastic honorary
sanctioned by the American
Association of Junior Colleges.
They were Bruce Mallory of

Ontario. Other members are
Marcia Wirth, Ontario; Vickie

Chandler, Ontario, the presi­
dent of the group.
To qualify for membership
in Phi Theta Kappa, a student
must attend Treasure Valley
Community College full-time
for two terms and maintain a
3.5 accumulative grade point
average.

The Whiteheads were gone
for six months.
They were
originally from Amarillo, Tex.,
and before coming to Adrian
