A total of 22,596 acres of
sagebrush in the Vale District,
Bureau of Land Management,
will be controlled by aerial
spraying this spring.
Bids
for the job are now being re
quested, George R. Gurr, dis
trict manager, said this week.
Five separate project areas
have been designated for con
trol work, according to Gurr.
They are Baker area which con
tains 4,957 acres located ap
proximately 30 miles south of
Harper; Freezeout Butte, a 3,-
650 acre area about 20 miles
southwest of Vale; Willow Butte,
consisting of 3,402 acres and
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Wright
and children were Saturday over
night guests In the Chas. Bowers
home.

BLM To Spray Sagebrush
Fish Creek, which contains 5,-
424 acres. Both of these pro
jects are located about 45 miles
southwest of Burns Junction.
The fifth project, Buckskin
Spray Area, contains 5,163 acres
and is located approximately six
miles west of the Whitehorse
Ranch in the southern part of
Malheur county.
A guided tour of the project
areas will be held by BLM
representatives if enough inte
rest is shown, Gurr said.
Bids will be opened January
20, 1972, at 2 p.m. PDT in the
BLM’s Portland Service Cen
ter.

Pollyanna Club met Thursday
afternoon with Mrs. Don Fox.

Resolution”. After the business
meeting the afternoon was spent

Guess the exact score of each Nyssa basketball game (Bull
dogs and opponents) and become eligible to win cash prizes.
For every Nyssa game, Rieb’s Clover Farm will give $10.00
to the person predicting the exact score.
If there is no winner, prizes will be added on to awards for
the following games, raising the total to $20.00, $30.00, $40,00
and so on until there is a winner. Customers are limited to
one entry per game, and no purchase is required.
In case of a tie, winners will be determined by a drawing
from all exact entries. Any remaining prize money at the
end of the season will be contributed to the Nyssa High School
Athletic Fund.
