CREGO ATTENDS SEMINAR Rev. J. D. Crego was the recipient of a scholarship re­ cently to attend a United Metho­ dist Church Seminar at the United Nations in New YorkCity He reports that they spent four strenuous and intensely inter­ esting days there. The study was concentrated on the nations located in the southern part of Africa; The Republic of South Africa, Namibia (South West Africa), Angola, Bissau, and Rhodesia. One night while there the group attended an off Broad­ way play called “The Black Terror”, a very realistic and superbly acted production sho­ wing the strengths, the dangers and the appeal of both the ter­ roristic and violent struggle for human rights, and the give and take of attempting the same thing by legislative and peace­ ful means. Rev. Crego re­ ports that such a study brings both hope and despair. Hope that the races of men shall yet learn to live together in mutual love and brotherhood. Despair because there is so much of hate, bloodshed and selfishness and strife among the peoples of the earth. .
