Anthony Yturri Landmark legislation comp letely revising Oregon’s cen tury-old Criminal Code jumped its first major hurdle last week when it received the resounding endorsement of the State Senat". This progressive document is the result of four years of di ligent labor by legislators and leaders in Oregon’s law en forcement, legal and judicial community. The concept for a complete revision of the Code came from Senate President John D. Burns of Portland, who recommended creation of the Criminal Law Revision Commission in 1967.
