Marie Moore attended the Nov.
16 wedding ceremony of Cath­
erine Samer and Ronald K. Mal-
lea at Blessed SacramentCath-
olic church in Ontario. Mrs.
Moore was a Nov. 17 dinner
guest of Mr. and Mrs. Mervil
Hutchinson in Payette.
Mrs. Dale Witt was a Nov.
13 dinner guest of Mr. and
Mrs. Art Sparks in Nyssa. On
Nov. 17 she was a dinner guest
of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Van
Dewater in Big Bend.
The Happy Dozen card group
met Nov. 15 in the home of Sue
Ashcraft. Guest players were
Edythe Prosser and Rose Wil­
lis. Prize winners were Dorothy
Fox, Mabie Piercy, Agnes Ash­
craft and Minnie Stam.
Mrs. Gerrit Timmerman en­
tertained Nov. 16 for members
of the book club. Mrs. Edward
Boydell of Boise reviewed the
book, “Testimony of Two Men,”
by Taylor Caldwell.
Mrs. Bud McDermott and
three children of Moses Lake,
Wash., arrived Nov. 15 to visit
until Monday in the L. C. Mc­
Dermott home. Mrs. Parker of
Vale, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pro­
vince of Caldwell were Nov.
17 afternoon visitors in the
McDermott home.
Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Kurtz
went to Caldwell Nov. 13 to
visit her sister, Mrs. I. C.
Durnil who is in the hospital
there.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Pratt
and sons were Nov. 11 even­
ing visitors in the Alfred Simp­
son home. On the evening of
Nov. 15 the Alfred Simpsons
visited Mr. and Mrs. Duane
Fenn in Ontario. The following
evening they called on Mr. and
Mrs. Irvin Durfee. Nov. 17
afternoon visitors in the Simp­
son home were Mrs. Avanell
Walker and children, Mrs. Dave
Savage and daughters, Mrs.
Gene Simpson and children.
Mrs. Fred (Mary) Spence and
baby spent last weekend visit­
ing her husband’s parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Floyd Spence in Em­
mett.

Lincoln City, Ore., arrived Nov.
17 to visit until the following
Tuesday with Mrs. Lydia
Worden.

visited on the afternoon of Nov.

Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Topliff
accompanied the Rev. Elmer
Rosenkilde to Vale on the after­
noon of Nov. 17 when they at­
tended a meeting of the Mal­
heur Association of Churches
at the United Methodist church.

JUDGE’S STATEMENT
We the undersigned, appointed to make the final count
of votes and points in the Gate City Journal subscription
campaign, were present at the Journal office and took
possession of the ballot box after all reports had been
deposited by the candidates.
We have, this date, made a thorough canvass of the
contents of the ballot box and have added the points and
votes, earned by each boy and girl, during the last three
days of the contest, to the total shown for each contestant
up to and including last Wednesday.
We find the correct standings at the end of the contest,
and the awards earned in the campaign, to be as follows:

Miland Draper family to Salt
