OREGON Kitchen Topic Heard By Extension Women Oct. 27 meeting of the Nyssa Day Home Extension unit was held in the Methodist church basement with refreshments serv­ ed by Mrs. Eve Ellis and Mrs. Betty Stinnette. During the session, colored slides of “Oregon Kitchens” were shown. Mrs. James Reilly of rural Parma was named health and safety chairman. Guests were Mrs. Cliff Metcalf and Mrs. Dorothy Underwood. Next meeting of the group will be Nov. 10 and the lesson topic will be “Permanent - Press Gar- menta." Results Told for Oct. 29 Grange Pinochle Party Six tables were in play during the Oct. 29 Oregon Trail Grange pinochle party. High prizes went to Mrs. John Cleaver and Romell Moss; second place awards to Mrs. Ida Carne- fix and Harry Kingrey; low prizes to Mrs. Esther Stephen and Russell Gressley. Hosts and hostesses for the eve­ ning were Mr. and Mrs. Orland Cheldelin, Mr. and Mrs. Don Somers. Next card session will be Nov. 12, and the public is invited to participate. Each wore a corsage of orange gladioli. A reception was held, following the ceremony, at the home of the bridegroom’s parents.
