The Emmett Huskies won their homecoming game 28-13
against the Nyssa Bulldogs last Friday evening on the Idaho
gridiron. Neither team scored in the first quarter, but the
Huskies broke loose for two touchdowns in the second period.

Adrian Gains 7-6 Victory Over Kuna;
Homecoming Game Scheduled Friday
Adrian emerged victorious over Kuna by a 7-6 score last
Friday evening when the Antelopes hosted the Kavemen.
Adrian scored the first touchdown on a 10-yard pass from
Tim Tailman to Tim Holly in the final four minutes of the
first quarter. Steve Kriegh kicked the extra point for the

yard line, with Knapp going off-
tackle. Kunt tried a quarterback
roll-out, but Bill Skogan broke
through the line and tackled
Lowe on the 10- yard line, leav-
ing Adrian ahead 7-6.
Adrian was on the two-inch line
when the clock ran out.
Game Statistics Reported
Statistically, Kuna had seven
first downs compared to nine for
Adrian. The Kavemen gained 100
yards rushing, while the Ante
lopes had 165. In passing Kuna
tallied 58 yards and the Adrian
team gained 70 yards via the
aerial route.
Adrian coaches report it was
a good defensive game and they
were pleased with the plays con
tributed by Bill Skogan, Burdette
Pratt, Rex Smith, Burton Bur-
roughs, Julian Flores and Alan
Zikmund.
The victory gave Adrian a 2-0
record in conference play and 3-1
for the season.
The Antelopes will host the
Middleton squad Friday eve
ning. Oct. 14, in their homecom

Hedges was taken to the local
hospital but was later transferred
to Caldwell Memorial for addi
tional treatment.
Canyon County Deputy Sheriff
Harry Doner, investigating offi
cer, stated that no citations were
issued. According to reports,
Hedges explained that he was
blinded by lights from an ap-
proaching vehicle and did not
realize he had driven on to the
highway.
