From Hospital
COMING EVENTS

NU ACRES—Mrs Ralph Baxter
returned home Feb. 1 from Cald
well Memorial hospital where she
had undergone recent shoulder
surgery. She is now convalescing
at her home and reported to be
getting along nicely.
Frank Wilcott also returned to
the Baxter home Feb. 1 from
Caldwell Memorial where he was
hospitalized several days for ob
servation and treatment.
Mr. and Mrs. Elver Nielsen. Mr.
and Mrs. Clifford Nielsen. Mr. and
Mrs. Arvin Kersey and sons were
recent Tuesday evening visitors
in the home of their mother. Mrs.
Effie Nielsen. The occasion was
to celebrate the latter’s birthday
anniversary and traditional re
freshments were served.
Mrs. Thelma Bunt of Middleton
visited Friday with Lucy and
Janice Evans. Another visitor in
the Evans home that day was Mrs.
Jessie Evans of Springfield. Ore.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy McKague of
Marsing were Monday evening

Pinochle Party Held
The regular pinochle session
; was held Saturday evening at Nu
Acres community hall with only
four tables in play. Mrs. Robert
Shaw Jr. and Mrs. Jerry Stroud
i were hostesses and served cup
cakes and fruit salad.
High prizes were won by Beu-
j lah Gilman and Jerry Stroud,
with low awards going to Cecil
Evans and Thelma Wilson. Mrs.
Wilson was also recipient of the
traveling prize.
Next pinochle party will be Sat
urday evening, Feb. 19, and all
area residents are invited.
