THIS IS PHOEBE SNY
DER, Ptrmi. She lacks
one-half inch of being
five feet tall and is the
mother of four children,
0, 12. 14 and 16 years of
age. Phoebe, weighing
just 8*/i times that of
her 12 - pound bowling
ball, recently proved
that you don't have to
to be a big feller to get
a big score. On Mon
day evening, Jan. 3, 1966
—half way through her
fourth season of bowl
ing—she rolled games of
209. 216 and 210 for a
total 635 scratch series.
In checking the men's
scores last Thursday
shortly after this photo
was snapped, it was
noted that her 635 ser
ies had been topped
only once this year.

Project Discussion
The Oregon Trail Grange Home I
Economics club meeting was held
Jan 10 at the home of Mrs. S. W.
Smiley, with eight members pres
ent Mrs. George Cleaver assisted
as co-hostess.
Roll call topic was "What Is
Your Project for 1966?” Various
projects were described and a
note was made for checking the
outcome at the end of the year.
The secretary’s report was read
and accepted. Mrs. George Clea
ver, president, gave each mem
ber a small book to keep the
date, place and name of the hos
tess for each meeting.
During the dessert hour, mem
bers discussed the many careless
acts that can lead to a fire.
Next meeting will be Feb. 1 at
the Tom Jones residence and will
be a Valentine party with gift
exchange not to exceed 50 cents.
All Oregon Trail Grange ladies
are invited.
