22 at St. Alphonsus hospital in
Cheryl and Carol Brock spent Boise. She is convalescing at

anna club members will meet
Sept 6 at the home of Mrs. Her­
schel Thompson with Mrs Marie
Earp as co-hostess.
Wednesday afternoon Mrs. Al
Thompson and Gary drove to the
Herb Andrews home in Caldwell.
They were accompanied home by
Vickie and Carol Andrews who 1
spent the rest of the week visiting
the Thompson families.
Al Thompson, Mrs. Herschel
Thompson and Mrs. Marie Earp
took Collette, daughter of the Ron
Thompsons, to visit her maternal
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Schaffeld near Jamieson, Satur-
day afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Thomp-
son entertained with Sunday din-
ner for Mr. and Mrs. Al Thompson
and Mr. and Mrs. Rex Walters of
Boise in honor of Mrs. Al Thomp­
son’s birthday anniversary.
Hunters Get Antelope
Don Fox and Herschel Thomp­
son accompanied Pud Long of
Adrian on a special antelope hunt
during the weekend. Long got
his animal on Saturday and Fox
was successful on Sunday, with
Thompson taking pictures of the
hunt. Mrs. Don Fox prepared Sat­
urday breakfast for the hunters.
Mr and Mrs. Don Fox and Mr.
and Mrs. Johnny Thiel attended
a dinner party Wednesday night
at East Side cafe in Ontario for
Mr. and Mrs. Clay Hubbard who
were recently married.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Schafer re­
turned Aug. 16 from a month’s
trip to Seattle where they visited
the Fred Schafers, attended the
World’s Fair and took a boat trip
around Puget Sound. They went
on to northern Idaho where they
visited with longtime friends of
Schafer whom he hadn’t seen for
35 years. They visited at Nez
Perce, Idaho, with three of his
sisters. They returned Wednes­
day evening after spending a
week fishing and picking huckle­
berries at Lost lake.
Piercys Host Dinner
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Piercy enter­
tained with dinner Saturday eve­
ning for Mr. and Mrs. Thurman
Piercy and family, Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Garwood of Topeka, Kan.,
and Miss Pauline Garwood of
Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Garwood
are parents of Mrs. Thurman
Piercy.
Mr and Mrs. Earl Kygar are
spending a week vacationing in
county experiment station.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ashcraft ac-
companied Mr and Mrs. Herb
Thomas of Weiser to the Council
vicinity Wednesday to pick choke-
cherries. Mrs. Ashcraft had the
misfortune of spraining her ankle
