ÍAUtrioN “A bargain is something you can’t use at a price you can’t resist.” Drivers Examiner Sets April 13 Visit to Nyssa A drivers license examiner will be on duty at Nyssa city hall Fri­ day, April 13, between the hours of 9 a m. and 2 p m., according to an announcement from the De­ partment of Motor Vehicles of Oregon. All prospective drivers wishing original licenses or permits to drive are asked to file applica­ tions well ahead of the scheduled closing hour in order to assure time for completion of the requir­ ed license test. Seven secretaries from Ontario, Vale and Nyssa met March 28 with eight members of Can-Ida chapter of National Secretaries association at a no-host evening dinner at Brownie’s cafe in Nyssa. Purpose of the meeting was to organize a chapter of NSA in the Ontario, Vale, Weiser, Payette and Nyssa area. Name of Futura chapter, NSA, was chosen by the group. Alice Murphy was named president; Vera Wright, first vice president; Patsy Emmons, second vice presi­ dent; Virginia Moore, recording secretary; Rosella Oxnam, corres­ ponding secretary; and Gladys Hutchinson, treasurer. The week of April 22 has been designated National Secretaries’ week and installation of new chapter officers will be held dur­ ing that period.
