Learn Yule Songs
By DAWN BOHANNON
(Nyssa High Journalism Student)
To learn a group of Spanish
Christmas songs is one of the
Christmas projects of the Spanish
class. These songs are sung by
i the children of Mexico during the
Yuletide season.
Another project is to learn
, more about Spanish customs.
Some of the customs the Spanish
class will learn are the making of
the Nativity scene; the posada,
which is the Christmas procession
that commemorates the night be- :
fore the birth of Jesus; El Dio de
los Reyes, or Jan. 16, when gifts
are given and the Christmas par
ty, which is centered about the
piñata.
May the joys of Christmas fill
your hearts with wonder and love, both
cow and through the coming years.
