Orien Hainline
Feted at Dinner

LINCOLN HEIGHTS—A group
of relatives gathered Sunday for
a basket dinner at the Orien
Hainlme home The dinner was
in honor of Hainline’s birthday
anniversary.
Those present were Mr. and
Mrs. Allen Hainline and Mr. and
Mrs. Lester Williams of Payette,
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Williams and
family of Weiser, Mr. and Mrs.
Myrle Stebbens and Delbert and
Mrs. Merle Day of Ontario.
Recent visitors at the Tom Pet­
tet home were Mrs. J. C. Jackson
of Meridian, Mrs. Mabel Phillips
and Miss Katie Phillips of Boise
and Mrs. Lura Deck of Nampa.
Mr. and Mrs. Brock Robbins
and family visited last week with
the Robb Richmond family near
Fruitland. The Richmonds lived
in the Cairo area before moving
to Fruitland last fall.
Honored on Anniversary
Norma Solterbeck of Payette
spent several days last week at
the Clifford Harris home. She is
Mrs. Harris’ niece. Her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Solterbeck,
joined them Thursday evening to
help celebrate Craig Harris’ sixth
birthday anniversary. Norma re­
turned to her home with them.
Wesley Robbins recently spent
some time with his grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Austin Robbins,
while his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Brock Robbins, went to Boise to
see the latter’s father, O. D. Dear­
born, who was hospitalized there.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Crabtree and
daughters of Shelton, Wash., were
recent guests at the home of Mrs.
Crabtree’s parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Hugh Findley.
Shows Film al Butte Church
The Rev. Marin B. McLean,
American Sunday school union
missionary for this area, was pres­
ent at the mid-week prayer ser­
vice at Malheur Butte Baptist
church. He showed a film, ’’Land
of Promise,” prepared by the
Bible Institute of Los Angeles.
Mrs. Thelma Wiggins of Mid­
vale, Idaho, recently arirved at
the home of her sister, Mrs. Jack
Petett, to recuperate from a re­
cent illness. She spent several
days at the Ontario hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tilson and
family of Emmett were Sunday
dinner guests at the Ralph Barnes
home.
Jack Pettet, Johnny Brown and
Gary spent Sunday at Halfway,
Ore.
Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Osborne of I
Quincy, Wash., have returned j
home after spending a week with'
their daughter, Mrs. Mae Blanks.
Mr. and Mrs. Austin Robbins
were Sunday dinner guests at the
George Barnes home.
