A number of ladies of the neigh­ borhood have been assisting Mrs. Irvin Miller at quilting several afternoons. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schmelzer have moved into their new house which they built on his parents’ ranch. Fred has been assisting his father on the ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Don Good and family of Caldwell were Sunday dinner guests at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wig­ gins. Mr. and Mrs. Amos Dejmal í went to Harper Wednesday even­ ing to help their son, Ked, cele­ brate his birthday anniversary. Attend Birthday Party Mr. and Mrs. John Stohler and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Walz and fam­ ily attended a birthday party for Fred Walz Friday evening at the Rmhold Stohler home at Fruit­ land. He was 81 years old. Other visitors were the Ben Walz family of Caldwell. Xenol Ledgerwood of Moses Lake, Wash., died last week fol­ lowing a heart attack. He was a brother of Mrs. Foster Sutton. Mr. and Mrs. Sutton and Tommy at­ tended funeral services for him the first of the week. The Misses Janie Walker and Louise Hanby who are attending Magic Valley Christian college at Albion, Idaho, arrived last Thurs­ day evening to spend the holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Zack Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hanby. PROFESSIONAL DIRECTORY cy, Wash., high school, was one of 64 aviation cadets who were awarded navigator wings at a re­ cent graduation ceremony at Har­ lingen Air Force base, Texas. Harlingen is the only base in the U. S. Air Force charged with the mission of training navigators and the only Air Force installa­ tion with an aviation cadet wing. Frank obtained one of the high­ est ranks obtainable in the cadets, that of lieutenant colonel. He is presently attending electronics school at Keesler Air Force base at Biloxi, Miss. Frank is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Norvelle J. Leuck of Santa Bar­ bara, Calif. He also has two bro­ thers. John and Steven, and a sis­ ter, Sally in Santa Barbara.
