SAYS:
IT S TIME FOR
STRAIGHT TALK!
It's time to talk frankly about the
Malheur County Judge race.
This is no time to be hiding behind
a fog of fancy but meaningless words.
First Let Me Tell You About My Qualifications
• I have a college degree plus one year of graduate work.
• I am a trained administrator and have proven my ability during my 12
years as head of the Adrian School.
• My administrative ability was recognized by the United States Army
where I served five years and reached the rank of captain.
There Has Been a Lot of Talk on Economy and Taxes
• Let me say first, that you cannot get something for nothing. I intend to
hold the line on taxes.
• Remember that the tax you pay to operate the county is only 13.7 mills.
• There is such a thing as practicing good economy by spending money.
That’s why a farmer buys a potato digger. That’s why it is good economy
to build a good road when you are building a road.
Spending money is a choice made by the people. It is the County Court’s
job to spend that money wisely. If the people want improvements, they
must vote the tax.
The Juvenile Judge's Duties Are Vital
He must be educated, experienced, sympathetic, fair, and understanding.
• I am qualified by education and experience. I have worked with children
for 16 years. I have successfully solved most of the problems before they
have reached the Juvenile Court.
I want to assure you that the ideas I express are my ideas. I do not believe
in tricks and soft talk just to win a vote.
I want your vote, of course, but I want to ask for it honestly.
Finally I want to say without pride or prejudice I believe that I am the best
qualified person to serve you as Malheur County Judge.

Are you smoking more now
but enjoying it less ?
GIANT AMONG giants .
That's Dick Nolan,
defensive backfield star of the N. Y Giants.
Nolan is a Camel smoker. He says he's bor
rowed other brands. But Camel is the cigarette
he buys for complete smoking satisfaction.
