ten Brady. Paul. Idaho
Potato demonstration trials conducted on the Len Brady farm
near Paul, Ida., during 1958, brought these important findings:
1. Increases up to 184 sacks per acre with proper fertilization.
2. Added profit of $128 per acre.
3. High quality potatoes with proper fertilization.
4. It is necessary to use both nitrogen and phosphorus in ade
quate amounts.
Without fertilizer, this demonstration plot yielded 159 sacks
an acre. With both nitrogen and phosphorus applied in adequate
amounts, Mr. Brady’s yields jumped to 343 sacks an acre.
That’s an important increase in yield and profit - one that you
can achieve on your farm. Use enough fertilizer, use proper amounts
— 120 pounds of available N, or more, and adequate phosphorus —
and see the results in added income. Be sure you use enough fer
tilizer this year. Side-dress now for top yields.
