The first fire alarm In several
weeks called Nyssa volunteers to the
Wyatt Smith home two miles north
of town Monday morning after an
overheated oil furnace threatened
the home. Ralph Lawrence, assistant
fire chief, said the fire was under
control by the time the rural truefe
and tanker arrived, but that flames
had been coming out of the register
to result In smoke damage to the
home and furnishings.
