The next meeting has been sched uled for Friday, June 5 at the home of Mrs. Billie Hamilton at 312 So 5th with Mrs. Don Herron as co hostess. All Jaycee wives are invited to attend. ❖ —•> A m ity Club F eatures A nnual G uest Night The Amity club held their annual guest night Friday at the home of Mrs. Lloyd Lewis with Mrs. Melvin Beck as co-hostess. Small individual booklets of the year's program were presented to members by program chairmen. Mr.-. Henry Zobeli, and Mrs. Mark Mon- cur. Mrs. Paul Winn won the door .prize. Introductions were made by each one present, telling their names, place of birth and any interesting thing that occured relative to the event. Group singing was enjoyed during a brief power black-out. Eldred Brower showed films of the Rose Festival at Pa.-adena and several other scenic trip.- that had been taken. Gue.-t. pre.-ent were the Me dames Elated Brower. Paul Winn, Cliff Mink, Walt R th. Warren Farmer, Leo Child, Lester J.unison, Snoden Robert.-, Don Walker, J. R. Gylleu- sk g and Mrs. Oscar Elliot. The next meeting will be held Fr.- day, May 15 at the home of Mr-. Taft Peit. Roll call will be answeied with bright sayings of children. M others-In-Law Honored At OES "Mothers-in-law” were honored as special guests at the meeting of OES held Monday evening. Worthy Ma tron, Mrs, Jake Simmons, presided. Those honored were Mrs. Hilda Ten- sen, Mrs. Olen Brown, Mrs. C. A Wernick, Mrs. F. Alexander, Mrs. Cecil Morrison. Sr., Mrs. J. W. Rig- ney, Mrs. J. L. Church, Mrs. Don Graham. Mrs. William Schiremen, Mrs. E. Wilson and Mrs. Strasbaugh. Corsages were presented to special Mothers-in-law. Mother’s Day music was rendered by Mrs. Rigney, Mrs. Shuster, Mrs. Guthrie and Mrs. Morrison. Plans were made for a picnic for all Masons, Eastern Stars, DeMolay and Job's Daughters to be held at the city park, Sunday, May 17 at 1 p.m. Refreshments were served by host and hostesses, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Forbe.-s, Mrs. Harold Brendle and Mrs. E. Wilson. M. Pounds, mother of one of the girls. Each girl took something to eat, wrapped in tinfoil ready to cook for their lunch. Monday, the regular meeting was held at the Fox home, with all mem bers present.
