He also pointed out that at times 1000 persons live at the camp. Secretary Thomas Jones said he had received several calls for city maps, and pointed out that appar ently the only maps of the city were those made in 1946 He .-,aid "maybe we could get better maps so when people expressed business or indus trial interest in the city they could get a better idea of the city and out lying areas.” City Councilman Emil Stunz ex pressed the opinion that more up- to-date maps could be obtained and City Attorney Harold Henigson said that the Glasgow tracts were in cluded In the 1949 maps and the Nyssa Development company tracts were Included in the 1950 maps, so that apparently newer maps are available Taking pictures of new maps could be handled in the Mal heur Title and Abstract company office in Ontario, he said. Robert Wilson reported on the Bunny Bonus days promotion that the chamber of commerce is now sponsoring. Dale Garrison, chairman of the Nyssa Road Assessment district, said his group would like to have the support of the chamber of commerce in helping to advertise the proposed 10-mill levy to be voted on in the road district. If the levy Is approved, the $28.000 raised from it will be used to oil eight additional miles of roads. The levy would be assessed only for one year. The chamber approved tentative plans to meet with the farmers of the district at an evening meeting to bo held in about three weeks. President Elmer Cruson turned the proposal over to the proper commit tee to make arrangements and set a date for announcement at next week’s luncheon. The suggestion was made that a lunch be served after the meeting instead of a dinner prior to the business session. Jake Fischer said the farmers and the chamber can do a lot of good for the community by meeting to gether. He added that "the farmers don't know what we want and we don't know what they want. It Is a good thing to sit together once a month." Visit In Idaho— Mr. and Mrs. R B. Ba.skelt of Ad rian visited Sunday with Roy Haley and family of New Plymouth. M-. I Haley has not been very well.
