“ I'll be a monkey's uncle” is a
term applied somewhat more seri- j
ously than loosely by Mr. and Mrs
J. R. Dolan of Baker, former Nyssa
residents, according to an article ap
pearing in the Baker Democrat-
Herald.
The article reads as follows:
Mr. and Mrs. Dolan reported the
birth of a monkey, not as yet named I
and without weight record at pres
ent. at their home at 3:50 a. m. to- j
day. Parents are Jimmie and Fanny,
a male from Colorado and a local
female. The baby's sex is yet to be
learned, also. Mrs. Dolan said, since {
momma seems reticent to surrender
her child right now.
Believing the monkey to be the
first born in Baker, Mrs. Dolan re
ports Jimmie was procured from
Colorado about a year and a half
ago. while Fanny was purchased here
four years ago.
The father is 2ts years old. while
Mr. and Mrs. Dolan aren't sure of j
mamma's age but know that it runs j
somewhat over six years.
Apparently Fanny isn't very d if
ferent from other females when It
comes to revealing age.
