Oct. 11—Mrs. Claude Stunner has announced that adult books will be available at the Skin ner grocery store. The county li brarian took the children’s books which have been at Skinner's all summer, and they will be handled by the schools but a large number of adult books were left instead. They may be checked out at any time during store hours. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Fletcher and daughter of Hyline visited Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Houston and Mrs. Rosa Kirtley Monday. Rodger Tucker of Nyssa, left Friday for Kansas City. Mr. Barker was awarded the American Farmer a- ward which is the higheast given by the FFA. The group plans to be away about 10 days. Mr. and Mrs. T. H Brewer had Sunday dinner in the Roy Eads home near Wilder. Clayton Patton of Quincy is in a hospital in Wenatchee recovering from a minor operation. Mrs. Jake Ator of Chula Vista arrived Monday at the home of her niece, Mrs. Gerald Slippy to visit. Mrs. Ator will accompany Mrs. Slippy to Portland when she goes to get her son, Eldon Slippy, wiho is receiving treatment in' the hospital there. Mr and Mrs. Warren Brown and children of Boise were Sunday guests in the Dick Brown home. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Johnson and children, Jimmy, Judy and Jenny of Hyline community were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Houston, Mrs. Rosa Kirtley and Mr, and Mrs. E. L. Sumpter Sunday. The O. K. Mr. Wilson lived here years ago with his family and at tended school in Owyhee. On Thurs day Mr. Wilson visited in the Oeorge Schweizer home and was an over night guest there. Brewer home Friday evening to get a saddle horse to use for rounding up some cattle that had strayed away from the truck in which they were being haulded when it was wrecked near Meacham. The truck belonged to Woodle Brewer of Ontaiio. Junior Doil, who has been in Guam for almost four years without a trip home, arrived last week to see his mother, Mrs. Robert Doil of Netoo. Illinois, who became ill while visiting In Parma at the Ray Frank lin home. Mr. Doil spent Friday and Saturday in the Gerald Slippey home and on Sunday the Slippy family and Mr Doil went to Parma to the Franklin home. Mr. Doil plans to take his mother home in a few days.
