Headquarters Loan Girl Is Injured As Horse Falls OWYHEE, Aug. 23—Mr. and Mrs. Herman Marcussen of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Mrs. Werner Peutz and Wanda went to McCall Satur day and spent the night with Mr. and Mrs. William Peutz at their summer place. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Duncan and family of Payette called in the Ken neth McDonald home Sunday on the way to Boise, where they were taking their son, Jim, who works there but had spent the week-end at Payette. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Brown and children had dinner in the Earl Kygar home Sunday. Mr and Mrs. Herbert Newcomb and Mary Beth moved to Nampa Saturday. Mr. Newcomb has been working for T. H. Brewer for the past several months. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Barker moved into the house 10 or 12 Pc. Wisconsin are staying with Mr. and Mrs. Werner Peutz this week. Mr. Peutz and Mr. Marcussen are cousins. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McDonald went to Boise Thursday evening, ate dinner and attended the Boise Pllot-Ogden Red baseball game. Mrs. Nora Compton of Boise Is visiting this week in the home of her sister. Mrs. Oeorge Schweizer. Mr. and Mrs. Hipolito Mendacona and children made a combined bus iness and pleasure trip to Boise Tuesday. Mr and Mrs. Harry Bryant and daughters, Patricia and Harriet, of Mt. Alice Cooper accompanied Mr. Burke and took a plane from Ontario to her home in Mt. Vernon, Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Gottman of Canton, Ohio visited Monday in the Werner Peutz home and then went to Payette to visit Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peutz. Mrs. J. P. Franklin and Jeannie of Parma spent Tuesday with Mrs. Gerald Slippy. Mrs. Etta Johnson and daughter, Mary, who have been visiting rel atives here the past week left for their home in Powell, Wyoming the first of the week. Mrs. Dale Lakey and girls of Boise visited relatives here Tuesday of last week. Miss Joan Matherly accomp anied them home for a week's visit. Several families from here attend ed the Co-op picnic in the Nyssa park Sunday. Mrs. Ben Houston and Mrs. Melvin Spltze were among the prize winners. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Paul and two sons of Riverside, California visited Sunday evening In the George Moeller home. Other visit ors were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mc Kinney and baby and Mrs. Ed Pharls of Nyssa. Don Bowers left Friday with the Nyssa F. F A. group for a five-days outing at Wallowa lake. Mr. and Mrs. Charles B am heit and son and Miss Hazel Hickey of Elgin spent the week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hickey. Corabell Coleman, who Is taking nurse's training at St. Luke’s hos pital In Boise, spent the week-end here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Coleman. A large crowd attended the water melon feed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Houston Sunday. The affair is sponsored each year by the Arcadia Sunshine club. The nezt club meeting will be held in Sep tember at the home of Mrs. Don Lytle. Miss Jean Moeller is spending this week with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mc Kinney near Nyssa. George Markham is combining grain for George Hurst this week. Mr. and Mrs. Miles Canada of Jerome, Idaho spent Tuesday night of last week here with relatives.
