Aug. »—Word has been received from Mrs. S. B. Hoff man about the death of her mother. Mrs. Maze, in Nebraska Thursday’ Mr. Hoffman, and Ernest and Or ville Maze left that day for Neb raska. Mrs. Hoffman had been with her mother for several weeks, but she too has been ill in bed for sev eral days, but is now somewhat improved. Mr. Oliver and Mrs. Brown are friends, having lived in Nyssa a number of years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Poree Martin of Parma spent Saturday visiting in the home of their son, Oayle Martin. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Looney and sons attended the ball game Sunday evening at Airway park in Boise Bill’s brother Ray played with the Lewiston Legion against the Boise Legion team. Mrs. Jess Norris and children ac companied Mrs. Norris’ mother, Mrs. Simmons to Denver Saturday for a two-weeks visit. Mr and Mrs. Bob Brown attend ed the Masonic and Eastern Star picnic in Nyssa Sunday. Mrs. Francis Deffer took her mother, Mrs. Brown of Portland and nephew, John Gehr of Vancouv er, Washington, to their homes Fri day.
