J U L Y 12. 1951 SE C O N D SEC TIO N Society Sponsors Temperance Film NEWELL HEIGHTS, July 12—A temperance picture will be shown during part of the Sunday school and morning worship service at the United Presbyterian church Sunday. The picture will be in charge of the Mary and Martha society. Mr and Mrs. Dudley Kurtz and, children and Bob Kurtz spent the' Fourth of Owyhee dam with Mr. and Mrs. David Highland. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hirai and sons, Mrs. K. Hirai, Mr. and Mrs. John Nakamura and daughter and George Hirai drove to Arrow rock dam over the Fourth. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice L. Judd en tertained at a dinner party Sunday evening in honor of Mrs. Nazin Rahin of Manchester, England and her mother, Mrs. G. F. Woods of Washington, D. C., cousins of Mrs. M. O. Judd. Mr. and Mrs. Orton Winn are the parents of a son born June 17 at the Mercy hospital in Nampa. The baby, Leo Ealon, weighed 6‘-> pounds. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Huff of La Grande were guests in the Leo Winn home last week. Mr. Huff Is Mrs. Winn's brother. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Masto and daughter were dinner guests in the Roy Hirai home Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Willard of Portland were guests in the M. L. Judd home Wednesday. The visit ors, who are rock collectors, went up Succor creek hunting for speci mens. Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Glenn and Billy and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Glenn were dinner guests in the Dick Kriegh home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James Olin of Leb anon spent last week visiting in the Lee Saxton home. Mrs. Olin, a sis ter of Mrs. Saxton, was a former beautician in Nyssa and Mr. Olin was a stockman and farmer in the Nyssa vicinity. Mrs. Olin now has a beauty shop In Lebanon and Mr. Olin is an auctioneer there. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Rice and child ren, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Kreager and children, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sm ith,, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Kriegh and children, Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Chamberlain and Jimmy and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Glenn picnicked at the Hugh Glenn home last week.
