Cowboy» Come To Town The cowboys have come to town for the rootin’, tootin' rodeo to be held by the Owyhee Riding club and the Nyssa m erchants July 12, 13 and 14. The young fellows with the high-heeled boots, over alls and 10-gallon hats with the broad upturned brim s are the athletes who will entertain us in the bronc riding, bull riding, calf roping and bulldogging events for the next three nights. They are a good-natured, hard-w ork ing bunch of cowpokes, who follow the professional shows. These cowboys participate only in the shows th at are approved by the Rodeo Cowboys association, which has given its stam p of approval to the Nyssa event, the only R. C. A.-approved show in M alheur county. The points m ade in the Nyssa rodeo, Pendleton Round-up, Cheyenne Stam pede and other shows approved by the R. C. A. are compiled by the national association. 'Iriese points are counted in the totals that determ ine the national cham p ions in the various rodeo events. In addition to having good cowboys, the riding club is fortunate in its rfbility to contract with H arley Tucker of Joseph in furnishing stock for the show. Tucker is a co-operative fellow, who has won the adm iration of the Nyssa rodeo sponsors for the way he handles the stock and the cowboys. The Nyssa rodeo is a good show and creates a lot of work for a few men who are determ ined to keep it good. We hope by another year, the work will be more evenly divided and distributed among a greater num ber of p er sons. It is good enough to justify the form ation of a special organization to promote the annual event, w ith New Plan Revealed Un Potato Testing h o ìc ì /K New Location Renstrom Insurance Agency Has Moved To lis New Location Directly South Of The City Hall 217 Good Avenue G e t long life and long m ileage, too 46 oz., Del Monte 2 cans KING'S RED ROSE 450 63c 390 ASSORTED Lunch Meat, lb. 490 Margarine, Delrich, 2 lbs. 750 55£ VAN CAMP'S JOAN OF ARC Salad Dressing Keen, Qt.
