Mr. and Mrs David Beers gave the party, with 1ft guests a t tending. Augusta Holmes and A P Ander son were married In Shell Lake, Wis consin June 23. 1901. He came to Nyisa In 1933 to work on construct ion of the siphons and flumes on | the Owyhee project. Mr. Anderson ! was the first superintendent of con struction on farm buildings and real- deuce» for the Amalgamated sugar, company. June 29 —One hundred and eighty persons attended the all- day meeting at Arcadia Sunday, when the male quartet of Westmont college presented a program. The offering taken for the boys amount ed to $73 At noon a potluck dinner was served. The afternoon speaker was Mr MoClean of Spokane, wno will be the new missionary for the American Sunday school union In eastern Oregon. Mr Chandler will be missionary In western Idaho. Linda Teague spent last week with Nellie Oumgamer near Nyssa. Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Lame left Monday evening for Spokane to take Mr Yowe’s brother, who has been visiting here to his air base. Mr. and Mrs. Otis Bullard and Donald and Eddy Behymer left Sun day evening for MoCall. where they will spend a week at the Bullard Summer home. Others there with the Bullard family this week are Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dali and sons of Nyssa.
