C hurch O f C lirial Elects Of Keen» The last two Sundays, according to Rev Austin J Hollingsworth, pastor of the First Church of Christ, have been occasion.-, on which the local church held Its annual election of church officers. This congregation operates under the leadership of a minister support ed by an official board composed of elders, deacons, deaconesses and trustees. Robert D e w e y wa s chosen as an elder for a five year term last Sunday to com plete the quota of five elders. The elders holding over from prev ious elections are John Quigley, J. C. Smith. Webb Pennle and E H. Strickland Rev. J. S. Beem, former pastor residing in Ontario, is an elder emeritus. Jess Rlgney, Don Strickland and Art Hann were three deacons elected to fill the quota of eight dea cons. Mr Rlgney and Art Hann w e r e cnosen for three year terms and Don Strickland for a two year term to fill the unexplred term of John Dewey who moved from the community. Dick Mason, Dan Pennle, Elmer Hill, Harold Robbins and John Strickland com plete the contingent of eight dea cons. Mrs Roy Bltoby. Mrs. Elmer Hill, Mrs. Roy Barnes. Kenneth Pond was chosen to fill the unexplred term of Chet Molser, who has moved from the community. Mr Pond will serve two years. John Quigley, J. C. Smith arid John Strickland con stitute the remaining members >f the board of trustees. Harokl Robbins was re-eleeted as Sunday school superintendent with J C. Srfilth re-elected as assistant superintendent. On May 21 the new board of the Nyssa Church of Christ met for reorganization. J. C. Smith was chosen chairman, Robert Dew ey, vice-chairman; Mrs, Roy Bibby. clerk; J. K n ig h t Hester R oyalist, sh ow n by Ed Bassett Princess O f Show Kevealeil Coronation Royal Wilda, 1618145, has been selected as this year's Jer sey queen of the Malheur Jersey show to be held in Nyssa May 26. The queen, shown In top photo with her owners, Mr and Mrs. Howard Bair, was selected by a special com mittee on her type and production. On her first three lactations, Wilda produced 28.464 pounds of milk and 1607.2 pounds of fat. She is a daugh ter of Brampton Favorite Royal, which Mr. and Mrs Bair imported in dam from Brampton Jersey Farms at Brampton, Ontario, Can ada. She has three daughters and one granddaughter in the Bair herd. Knight Hee»ter Royalist, owned by A1 Thompson and Son, is the 1951 Jersey princess. She was chosen on a one-year record ol 572.83 pounds of fat, 2x305ME. The princess was sired by a brother oi the June Vol unteer Peitje cow, which recently completed a record of 1151 pounds of fat, actual, as a four-year-old cow. She is a daughter of June Volunteer Buddy, medal of merit superior sire. | A tten d s P icn ic— Good Reasons Mrs. C. W.
